Job summary

POWER Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support women in early recovery within a 24/7 residential program. You will help maintain safety, structure, and therapeutic engagement under nursing supervision and with clinical staff.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and coordination of activities, meals, and groups while documenting observations and participating in shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or residential care.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Clearances Act 73, 33 and 34 required/acceptable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client safety and well-being during shifts.
• Conduct rounds, bed checks, and wellness observations.
• Respond to incidents using trauma-informed, calm approaches.
• Maintain a safe, structured residential environment.
• Lead or co-facilitate group activities and routines.
• Document interactions and communicate with staff for continuity.
