Qualifications

• Two years post-license experience in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting.
• Valid license to practice as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.
• California Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health treatment and related services.
• Evaluate unit activities for effectiveness and alignment with program goals; implement changes as needed.
• Hire, train, supervise, and appraise staff performance; conduct staff development.
• Provide guidance on departmental philosophy, goals, and procedures through meetings and reviews.
• Make decisions on difficult client assessments and casework matters.
• Collaborate with public, private, and community partners to achieve program goals.
• Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenditures within funding provisions; prepare workload statistics and reports.
• Coordinate community planning to inform behavioral health needs and develop strategies.
