Job summary

Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) seeks a Social Service Counselor 4-A to coordinate, manage, and monitor contracted programs within BHCS under the CSSM. The role requires oversight of ACT services, contract administration, and collaboration with clinical leadership to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring six years of social services experience or equivalent mix, with a degree in social sciences and ADRA certification eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Six years of social services experience; OR
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR
• A bachelor's degree plus three years of social services experience; OR
• An advanced degree in a social sciences field plus two years of social services experience.
• Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Monitors vendors providing ACT services for underinsured residents.
• Provides oversight and technical assistance to contractors including budget planning and data reporting.
• Assists contractors in developing tools to improve workflow and service deliverables.
• Initiates plans of correction and follows up on recommendations.
• Monitors expenditures and accounts payable for grant and contract deliverables.
• Reviews contract budget to actual expenses for monitoring expenditures.
