Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY seeks a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct structured therapeutic activities for patients across pediatrics to geriatrics. The role interfaces with families, physicians and staff to deliver a therapeutic milieu.

The candidate will engage in crisis intervention, ensure patient rights are upheld, and support nursing leadership in program interventions on the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology or related health field is required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Crisis intervention training required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and coordinates structured therapeutic activities for patients on the unit.
• Leads and mentors unit staff in programming to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Intervenes for crisis management and de-escalation within the unit.
• Coordinates with families, physicians and other health disciplines on patient needs.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and patient rights.
