Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for our Macon, GA location. The role involves compounding and dispensing medications, providing consultative services, and supporting pharmacy operations on an as-needed basis.

Candidates must hold a Georgia pharmacy license with required experience or a doctoral degree, possess a valid driver’s license, and pass background checks and drug testing. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Requires active Georgia pharmacy license and either 2 years of experience or a master’s degree in pharmacy.
• Must hold a Georgia pharmacy license with at least 1 year of experience or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately from prescriptions.
• Provide consultative medication-use and safety guidance to clients and providers.
• Utilize aseptic techniques for sterile transfers as required.
• Assist customers, process prescription requests, and maintain accurate records.
• Support pharmacy operations and data entry tasks as needed.
• Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and efficient retrieval of medications.
• Verify completeness of written and phoned prescriptions.
