Job description

LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is currently hiring full-time Observation Techs to join our Behavioral Health Team.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a RN, provides close observation of patients.
• Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment.
• Is vigilant in the protection of the patient from self harm or falls.
• Maintains on-going observations of patients and documents this observation at least every five minutes.
• Verifies that each patient is breathing and not engaging in any harmful acts.
• Immediately alerts proximate staff of any attempt of self harm or emergency situation while intervening to prevent harmful occurrence.
