Job summary

University Behavioral Center in Orlando, FL, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Director of Nursing to lead a patient-centered nursing strategy within our inpatient behavioral health facility.

As a senior member of the Leadership Team, you will coordinate nursing operations, drive high‑quality and cost‑effective care, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and mentor a multidisciplinary team across 112 licensed beds.

Qualifications

• Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of FL
• BSN from a CCNE accredited nursing program; MSN strongly preferred
• Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management
• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting preferred
• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others' activities with demonstrated leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead patient-centric nursing strategy and ensure delivery of high-quality care
• Coordinate nursing operations across inpatient services
• Participate in hospital's strategic planning and contribute to institutional goals
• Support leadership within the UHS network and promote evidence-based practice
