Job summary

Horizon Health Corporation in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a Director of Nursing (Behavioral Health) for the First Health Moore Regional Health unit (28 beds).

The role requires strong leadership in governance, HR management, and use of nursing information systems, with RN licensure in NC and a Master’s degree. You will develop staff, manage operations, and partner with executives to deliver high‑quality patient care in a dual diagnosis program.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) years of nursing leadership experience within an acute care facility.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of behavioral health experience.
• Experience working with various accrediting bodies.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina.
• Master’s degree required, if in a field other than nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing Required.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work in partnership with hospital president, system CNO and other hospital staff.
• Must have demonstrated experience inleading within a Professional Governance environment.
• Must have strong skills in the management of human resourceswith the ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
• Strong planning and organization skills required.
• Strong skills in leveraging technology for productivity and nursing information systems required.
• Demonstrated business, financial, and clinical skills to manage the operations of assigned departments to ensure high quality, patient focused care required.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills with the ability to develop and coach staff as well as the ability to delegate.
• Strong listening and critical thinking skills required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
