Job summary

Rockford Center, a 138-bed mental health facility in Newark, DE, is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager (RN) for Behavioral Health. This full-time, salaried role directs and manages delivery of psychiatric nursing care on the Adult Units.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, a two-week orientation, and opportunities for professional growth across UHS locations. Requirements include a DE nursing license, BSN, CPR, and 2 years of nursing management experience.

Qualifications

• Current DE nursing license or eligibility.
• BSN is required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years nursing management experience in behavioral health.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the delivery of psychiatric and chemical dependency nursing care on Adult Units.
• Assess PRN medications, document rationale and effectiveness.
• Report changes in patient condition to supervisor during each shift.
• Notify family and physicians when patient is transported or placed in seclusion/restraints.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Document patient care findings and responses to nursing interventions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and provide respectful, non-discriminatory care.
