Job summary

Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Behavioral Health Unit (Day Shift). This full-time role supports unit operations, delivers high-quality patient care, and serves as a clinical resource for staff.

The position requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within specified timelines. A level II background screening is part of the employment process. Downtown location in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida is required.
• BLS certification must be current at start.
• ACLS required within 6 months for Adult EDs.
• PALS required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations.
• Collaborates with direct care staff to deliver quality patient care.
• Acts as an expert clinical resource for the team.
• Facilitates admission, transfer and discharge flow.
• Leads in implementing changes within the unit.
• Coaches staff development and performance.
• Assigns shift-to-shift patient care tasks.
• Takes on a direct patient care assignment as needed.
