Job summary

Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Downtown – Main Building is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join the Behavioral Health Unit on a full-time day shift. You will partner with the Nurse Manager to support unit operations and deliver quality patient care.

You will lead with the direct care staff, facilitate admissions/transfers/discharges, and coach team development while ensuring safe, patient‑centered practices across shifts. A level II background screen is required.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required.
• ACLS Required within 6 months for Adult ED’s.
• PALS required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations.
• Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care.
• Is an expert clinical resource.
• Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow.
• Takes a lead role in implementing changes.
• Supports and coaches staff development.
• Makes shift to shift patient care assignments.
• Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed.
