Behavioral Health Medical Director- General Child Psychiatrist

This position offers a competitive salary range of $250,236.00 to $428,976.00 annually, depending on experience and location. The role is based in California, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, or Illinois, with a hybrid work model (remote and office). Candidates must reside within 50 miles of an Elevance Health Pulse Point location.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting peer-to-peer clinical reviews with providers.
• Applying clinical knowledge to utilization review processes.
• Adhering to medical policies and guidelines.
• Engaging in activities that impact healthcare quality, cost, and outcomes.
• Providing guidance on clinical operational aspects.
• Serving on committees and developing medical policies as needed.
• Identifying opportunities for innovation to improve effectiveness and quality.

Minimum Requirements:

• MD or DO with Board certification (ABMS or AOA).
• Active unrestricted medical license in California.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Willingness to obtain a California medical license.
• Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
