ROLE SUMMARY
The Oncology Field Medical Outcomes, Director is a field-based medical colleague responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for a designated therapeutic in Oncology, with a primary focus on integrated customers, including but not limited to Integrated Delivery Networks, National Payers, Regional Payers, and Specialty Pharmacy Providers (SPPs). The role is responsible for educating customers on the clinical and economic impact of Pfizer Oncology medicines and products. The colleague may help inform customer decision-making and improve population health through real-world data analyses, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Pfizer’s Oncology Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers in a territory, ensuring compliance and collaboration with colleagues.
- Understand and support the development of Medical content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Maintain effective communication among headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver communication across multiple channels, including presentations, written communication, and virtual conversations.
- Develop and execute customer-specific projects, collaborations, and non-interventional studies to advance care and outcomes.
- Respond to medical questions regarding Pfizer products and facilitate communication between regional and national HCPs and headquarters.
- Support and facilitate collaborative research activities and provide insights for medical strategies.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs/Regulations and provide scientifically sound medical information.
- Maintain and develop clinical informatics capabilities and support HIT initiatives.
- Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in professional associations and develop relationships with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on medical and scientific developments in Oncology.
- Travel as required, including overnight stays, with flexibility for 40-50% travel.
- Work remotely in the field with a focus on customer engagement and medical education.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science; PharmD, PhD, or equivalent preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent depending on education level.
- Experience in data analytics, HEOR, managed care, or clinical management.
- Experience interacting with payers and organized customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and operate a company car.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Oncology medical/outcomes roles.
- Expertise in Clinical Informatics or HIT.
- Leadership in project management and healthcare data analysis.
Additional Information
Position is remote and field-based, with travel up to 50-60%. Salary ranges from $169,700 to $282,900, with bonus and benefits. Pfizer is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all employment laws.
