The position is on the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) with the potential for growth into leadership roles within the behavioral health team. The facility offers comprehensive benefits and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNA or Home Health Aide in NJ.
• Certification: NJ Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health.
• Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/regulations, DDAP, and CARF.
• General office skills and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, complete documentation, and filing to support medical staff at the facility.
• Complete and maintain medical records.
• Assist with admissions and the consent process for clients and provide ongoing support during medical appointments.
• Obtain vital signs and urine screens and document outcomes for medical team review.
• Complete lab requisitions on admission, monitor outcomes, and review with the medical team as needed.
• Create and distribute client packets.
• Maintain a safe physical environment for all clients.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and effectively communicate and document changes to client status in charts and/or to the treatment team.
• Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
• Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
