Oceans Healthcare seeks a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Norman, Oklahoma. Shift options include Day (7a-7p) and Night (7p-7a).

The LPN will provide nursing care under supervision of a RN, support an interdisciplinary team, and follow Joint Commission, state, and Oceans policies. Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, implementing care plans, administering medications, patient education, and ongoing assessment to ensure safe, effective care in a behavioral health

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active LPN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses are acceptable for this role.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Documents findings accurately in the patient record and communicates assessments.
• Implements care plans and performs nursing procedures as prescribed by a physician or LIP.
• Performs bedside tests, wound care, and assists with activities of daily living.
• Communicates effectively with care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides patient education and supports coping with illness and stress.
• Administers medications following safety procedures and documents doses.
• Preceptor to new staff and participates in ongoing improvement of patient care.
