Job summary

Nuvance Health's Danbury Hospital is seeking an LPN to join the Psych Unit team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN in a collaborative, team-based setting.

Required: LPN license and BLS certification; 1 year Behavioral Health experience preferred. Shift is 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays; part-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• LPN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of Behavioral Health Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice and the established care model.
• Documents in the EMR under RN supervision, including vitals, wound care, medications, and admissions.
• Collaborates with RNs and the healthcare team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Administers medications and conducts standard procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, bladder scans) as needed.
• Participates in interdisciplinary conferences and team activities to support patient care and staff development.
