Job summary

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking an LPN for a part-time role in the Psych Unit. The position requires an LPN license and BLS certification, with 1 year of Behavioral Health Services experience preferred. Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN supervision, EMR documentation, and collaboration with the health team.

Shift is 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends/holidays. Location is Danbury-24 Hospital Ave; exempt: No.

Qualifications

• LPN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year Behavioral Health Services experience preferred.
• EMR documentation knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Documents in the EMR under RN supervision, including vitals, wound care, medication administration, and admissions.
• Collaborates with the RN and healthcare team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Verifies, prepares and administers medications for assigned patients.
• Performs standard procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, bladder scans, glucoscans) as needed and collects specimens.
