Care New England Health System is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to hospital policies in a psych/substance-focused unit.

The position includes a 20/40 part-time split schedule (11a-7:30p) with every other weekend, requiring strong communication and teamwork within the Delmonico 3C Unit and broader care teams.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum six months job-related experience or equivalent required; psych or substance abuse experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the RN in observation, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide nursing care to an assigned group of patients using proper techniques and safety precautions.
• Administer oral, IV, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications per policies.
• Monitor IV infusions and blood transfusions, observe flow rate and insertion site.
• Assist physicians and patients during examinations, procedures and tests as required.
• Observe patients and report changes to RN promptly.
• Provide patient/family teaching and assist with discharge or transport planning.
• Maintain medical records accurately and legibly.
• Ensure a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment; pursue professional development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
