Job summary

Brightli is seeking a Community Behavioral Health Liaison II in Columbia, MO to connect individuals involved with the criminal justice system to behavioral health care and community resources. You will coordinate with law enforcement, courts, and treatment providers to ensure seamless services and crisis intervention support.

The role requires a master’s degree in a related field and at least two years of behavioral health or criminal justice experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in behavioral health, criminal justice, or a related area.
• Complete the 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team training within six months of hire or per funding source requirements.

Responsibilities

• Connect individuals referred by authorized sources with behavioral health services, social supports, and community resources.
• Partner with law enforcement through ride-alongs, wellness checks, consultation, and training.
• Collaborate with courts, treatment teams, and justice partners to coordinate services and improve system responses.
• Coordinate with jails to complete behavioral health screenings and promote continuity of care after release.
• Support crisis intervention initiatives, including co-responder programs and 988 coordination.
• Educate law enforcement, court personnel, and community stakeholders about behavioral health and available resources.
• Maintain documentation, data tracking, and reporting per confidentiality and funding requirements.
• Engage in supervision and training to maintain compliance and advance skills.
