SUN Behavioral Delaware is seeking a qualified health-care professional to assist callers, schedule face-to-face assessments, and triage to appropriate community resources. The role involves coordinating with physicians to ensure proper treatment and adherence to EMTALA guidelines.

The candidate should have an LVN or higher in a mental health field, 2+ years of supervised experience, and CPR/de-escalation certification.

Qualifications

• Required: LVN or higher with a mental health related field degree.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervised clinical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Responsabilités

• Handles inquiry calls and schedules face-to-face assessments.
• Triages safety and risk for each call and activation of EMS as needed.
• Documents calls thoroughly in the system and coordinates with physicians.
• Makes referrals to community resources when assessments are not scheduled.
• Ensures medical and psychiatric emergencies are identified and managed per EMTALA guidelines.
• Completes admission paperwork and coordinates authorization and discharge planning.
