Job summary

• Greeting visitors and callers while protecting confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Triage calls and transfer to appropriate departments or staff.
• Provide information about Northern Light Health programs and community resources.
• Assist with after-hours back-up to the Access Center and other departments.
• Monitor alarms, code calls, and service logs in a front lobby setting.
• Operate front desk equipment and support a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly with clear, courteous communication and identify the organization.
• Document and review materials; attend staff meetings and stay updated on department changes.
• Seek support during staffing shortages and prioritize urgent requests.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and assist peers and staff as needed.
• Mentor peers and participate in staff training; maintain patient confidentiality.
