Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital seeks a Behavioral Health Director to lead psychiatric and addiction services, partnering with clinicians to plan and evaluate evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an active license.
• Minimum of 4 years of management experience in behavioral health.
• Experience working with mentally ill and/or addictions preferred.
• CPR training and crisis response experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for behavioral health services and program evaluation.
• Ensure high clinical standards and integrated treatment planning with psychiatrists and therapists.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff while promoting professional development.
• Manage budgets and secure funding to sustain programs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and quality initiatives.
• Engage with patients, families, and the community to improve access and reduce stigma.
