Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is hiring a Direct Care Technician on a part-time, mid-shift basis for our Greenville, NC facility. You will help maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment and attend to clients’ basic needs, including informal counseling in the detox center using behavioral techniques.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, opportunities for growth, and a benefits package for eligible positions. Peers welcome and supported in a community-focused nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Peer support certification or CNA certification a plus, but is not required.
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment and attend to the welfare and basic needs of clients.
• Provide informal counseling in the detox center using behavioral techniques and supportive encouragement.
