Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Counselor to join our behavioral health team in Bowie, Maryland. You will provide comprehensive clinical services for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.

This role requires Maryland credentials or active trainee status, with on-call rotations and a focus on evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Maryland credentials required or in trainee status recognized by MD boards
• Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings preferred
• Must be licensed or actively pursuing Maryland licensure as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with interdisciplinary team
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
• Coordinate care with referral sources and outpatient providers
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the health record
• Support discharge planning and aftercare planning
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Adhere to licensing, accreditation, and organizational standards
