Job summary

Arrowleaf is seeking a Counselor/ Therapist for our Union County Office in Southern Illinois. The role involves delivering outpatient behavioral health services with a focus on life skills and well-being, including counseling, psychiatric care coordination, and community referrals.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with after-hours on-call rotation and a supervisor from the Behavioral Health Director. A strong emphasis on collaboration, ethics, and client-centered care is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services required; Master’s preferred.
• Qualifies as Mental Health Professional; QMHP preferred.
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Intervenes and evaluates consumers, establishes diagnosis.
• Develops treatment plan collaboratively with consumers with goals and timeframes.
• Intervenes therapeutically to improve functioning at individual and family level.
• Provides crisis intervention to stabilize conditions and referrals.
• Maintains networking with other human service providers and case management.
