40Summary:
As aBehavioral Health Counselor (LCSW or LPC)you will provide therapeutic services to children and families at our Renaissance Neighborhood Clinic. Therapeutic interventions include individual counseling, family therapy, crisis intervention, andproviding ongoing psychoeducation to children and their families to help them cope with acute and chronic medical and mental health conditions to promote wellness and maintain functional behaviors. The Behavioral Health Counselor works as part of a multi-disciplinary team including the patient's primary care physician and treatment team to advance the medical plan of care. The therapist will also collaborate with various agencies to support the family's effort in caring for their child.Our community-based neighborhood clinics provide complete wrap-around services for children (birth through adolescence). Our staff includes pediatricians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and family support staff who work in collaboration to provide complete care for children at every age and stage.
Required Licensure, Education & Experience:
Graduate Degree in Counseling, Social Work,or related field.
LCSW or LPC License with the state of Texas.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens.
Previous experience in behavioral health providing therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and in providing community resources.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to plan and organize effectively.
Proficient in the use of various computer applications.
Experience working in health care or multidisciplinary setting preferred.
Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred but not required.
