Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Counselor (LCSW or LPC), you will provide therapeutic services to children and families at our Renaissance Neighborhood Clinic. Therapeutic interventions include individual counseling, family therapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychoeducation to help children and their families cope with medical and mental health conditions, promoting wellness and functional behaviors. The Behavioral Health Counselor collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team including the patient's primary care physician and other treatment team members to advance the medical care plan. Additionally, the counselor works with various agencies to support the family's efforts in caring for their child. Our community-based clinics offer comprehensive wrap-around services for children from birth through adolescence. Our staff includes pediatricians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and family support staff working collaboratively to provide complete care at every stage of childhood.

Required Licensure, Education & Experience:

• Graduate Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• LCSW or LPC License in Texas.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens.
• Previous experience in behavioral health providing therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and connecting families with community resources.
• Strong relationship-building skills with effective planning and organization abilities.
• Proficiency in various computer applications.
• Experience working in healthcare or multidisciplinary settings is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
