The State of Georgia is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor for the Macon YDC in Macon, GA. This role supports workforce readiness and treatment progress under supervision, with a responsibility to collect data and maintain records.

Entry qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field or addiction counselor certification (GACA). The position carries an annual compensation of about $33,042.48 and involves background checks and compliance with equal opportunity

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in counseling or related field from an accredited college or university.
Certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

Assist with administration and scoring of tests.
Develop and implement behavior management plans as required by regulatory agencies.
Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information.
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.
Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
Provide training to direct staff in implementing behavior modification techniques.
