Job summary

Completely KIDS is seeking a Behavioral Health Coordinator to lead coordination of behavioral health services across after-school programs. You will work with a BCBA to ensure consistent behavior support and high-quality services for children and families, and you will coach staff while facilitating collaboration among stakeholders.

You will monitor progress through data collection, communicate with caregivers, and promote a positive, supportive environment that fosters student success.

Responsibilities

General Summary: The Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible for coordinating behavioral health services to support children, families, and Completely KIDS staff. Working closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavioral Health Coordinator serves as the primary point of communication among families, site staff, and the BCBA to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support strategies and high-quality services. This position provides coaching and guidance to program staff, facilitates collaboration between all stakeholders, monitors student progress and program outcomes through data collection, and promotes a positive, supportive environment that fosters student success. The Behavioral Health Coordinator also assists with the coordination of behavioral interventions, ensures timely communication regarding student needs, and supports continuous quality improvement across behavioral health services.

Essential Job Functions:

Behavioral Health Coordination:

  • Coordinate behavioral health services for students participating in after-school programming.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between the BCBA, families, site coordinators, and program staff.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of individualized behavior support plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Schedule meetings, consultations, observations, and family conferences as needed.
  • Staff Coaching and Support
  • Coach and mentor program staff in implementing positive behavior supports and trauma-informed practices.
  • Model evidence-based behavior management strategies within program settings.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff in addressing challenging behaviors.
  • Reinforce consistent implementation of behavioral interventions across program sites.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development activities.
  • Family Engagement
  • Build positive relationships with families to support student success.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding student progress, behavioral goals, and available resources.
  • Connect families with community services and behavioral health supports when appropriate.
  • Participate in family meetings and interdisciplinary planning sessions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the BCBA regarding student progress, intervention fidelity, and needed adjustments.
  • Work closely with school personnel, therapists, social workers, and other service providers to coordinate supports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
  • Oversee psychology student interns by coordinating internship experiences, assigning responsibilities, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Data Collection and Documentation
  • Monitor behavioral data and intervention implementation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, case notes, and service records.
  • Prepare reports summarizing behavioral trends and program outcomes.
  • Utilize data to support continuous quality improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of positive behavior supports and trauma-informed care.
  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral interventions.
  • Ability to coach and support staff in implementing behavior strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to analyze behavioral data and communicate findings effectively.
