Onsite Health Coach - Behavioral Health

Our Custom Coaching program connects employees with skilled wellness coaches for face-to-face, video, or telephonic sessions. Coaches help employees set and achieve goals, manage chronic conditions, and promote healthy behaviors.

We seek a compassionate Behavioral Health Coach to support individuals in achieving mental well-being and personal development. This role focuses on guidance, motivation, and skill-building, not clinical diagnosis or therapy. You will empower clients to navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy habits through a holistic approach.

Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
  1. Provide onsite one-on-one and group coaching on stress management, emotional well-being, self-care, and personal growth.
  2. Identify health education needs through assessments, including screenings for depression, anxiety, and stress.
  3. Use evidence-based techniques like motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral strategies, and mindfulness practices to encourage behavioral change.
  4. Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and action plans, empowering them to participate actively in their health outcomes.
  5. Refer clients to clinical care when necessary.
  6. Help clients overcome barriers to health improvement.
  7. Utilize biometric data and motivational interviewing to improve clinical outcomes.
  8. Lead health and wellness activities, including workshops, programs, and digital content supporting behavioral health.
  9. Support site events like open enrollment, wellness committees, and health fairs.
  10. Maintain confidential client records per policies and ethical standards.
  11. Stay updated on behavioral health research, coaching methods, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in health coaching, health education, or health promotion with a behavioral health focus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field; behavioral health degrees (psychology, social work, etc.) preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Current ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain during onboarding.
  • High energy and dynamic presentation skills.
  • Positive role model demonstrating healthy behaviors.
  • Passion for health improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively collaborate.
  • Understanding of clinical targets and outcome measurements, with the ability to develop action plans.
  • Strong computer, communication, active listening, and motivational skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and customizing coaching approaches.
Bonus points for:
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, stress management, or holistic wellness.
  • Certifications like CHES, NBHWC, ICF, or related fields.

This full-time role is based in Hanover, New Hampshire. Remote work is possible with reliable high-speed internet (minimum 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload).
