Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated CNA for its Northwest Reno facility. The role supports adult behavioral health services, with a 36-hour workweek and full benefits, in a team-based environment under an experienced RN and care staff.

The successful candidate will graduate from an accredited CNA program, hold a Nevada CNA license, and maintain a current BLS certification, contributing to a patient-centered care approach in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited C.N.A program.
• Current Nevada C.N.A. license.
• Current BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensures patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.
• Follows facility policies and procedures to promote patient safety (i.e. safe environment, equipment safety practices, radiation safety, fire prevention, etc.).
• Adheres to fall precautions by performing/assisting patients with toileting/ADL care and never leaving the patient alone. If assistance is needed, CNA is able to ask/call or help while remaining with the patient.
