Job summary

A leading health system in Northeast Pennsylvania is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for its Behavioral Health Hospital. This key role includes providing strategic leadership, overseeing psychiatric services, and maintaining active clinical practice. The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO with residency in Psychiatry, seven years of clinical experience, and prior leadership experience. They will work closely with executive leadership to advance models of care and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of post-residency/fellowship clinical experience.
• Eligible for or able to obtain Pennsylvania medical license and DEA.
• Willingness to actively practice clinically as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to psychiatric providers.
• Ensure excellence in clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Support and develop physician and APP teams.
• Partner with executive leadership on clinical policy and performance initiatives.
• Maintain an active clinical practice (approximately 75% clinical).
