Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in the Northeast Region. You will provide clinical leadership to ensure high‑quality patient care and align medical operations with the hospital's mission and strategic priorities.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop protocols, oversee quality initiatives, and advance training and education across departments, while working with hospital leadership and academic partnerships.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• 3–5 years leadership experience.
• Experience leading psychiatry/behavioral health programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for psychiatry and behavioral health services.
• Define protocols and assist in decision‑making for medical care.
• Oversee quality initiatives, safety, and performance improvement.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and APPs.
• Foster medical education and training with residents and fellows.
• Support leadership meetings and strategic initiatives.
