Job summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports the care team at Cowlitz Indian Tribe – Health & Human Services, blending clinical and admin tasks to ensure quality patient care. You will work closely with providers to assist direct services, maintain HIPAA standards, and uphold a welcoming, professional environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, an active MA-C credential in Washington, and at least three years as a CMA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Active MA-C credential in Washington State is required.
• Minimum of three years CMA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist clients through check-in and document vital signs.
• Schedule and verify appointments, assist telehealth visits, obtain authorizations.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure telehealth components function properly.
• Collect urine drug screens and other lab samples.
