Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified behavioral health clinician to provide individual and group therapy to patients within Behavioral Health Services. This full-time position requires completing assessments, counseling, and treatment planning while coordinating with the treatment team.

You will maintain documentation in compliance with DMH and accrediting bodies, manage a clinical caseload, pursue licensure, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited graduate program in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Preferred: License eligibility (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
• Must have strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual & group therapy to patients with varied mental health/co-occurring disorders.
• Complete initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, and treatment planning.
• Identify need for medication evaluations and refer to on-site providers.
• Complete all required documentation per hospital, DMH, BSAS, The Joint Commission, and insurers.
• Manage caseload including consultations, collateral contacts, and follow-ups on missed appointments.
• Maintain licensure and credentialing for the role.
