Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinical Liaison at Centene Corporation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Must hold one of the following current and valid licenses or certifications:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP)
  • Licensure must be active and in good standing in the state where services will be provided.
  • Experience in substance abuse counseling or working with individuals affected by substance use disorders.
Work Hours
  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time during training, then shifting to CST after training).
Position Purpose

Serve as a liaison for external groups and providers regarding clinical information from the Operations and Medical Management teams. Assess and review member clinical records and services related to behavioral health and substance use.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and present program results; develop data-driven analysis and metrics to measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Partner with staff and departments on provider education and outreach; identify gaps and develop educational efforts.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership on clinical interpretation of results related to health plan reporting and quality incentives.
  • Implement procedures for tracking operational issues, identify solutions, and make recommendations.
  • Represent clinical perspectives in meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance quality and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a resource on utilization, quality improvement, and case management activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to policies and standards.
Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Social Work or Behavioral Health, or Nursing from an accredited school. 4-6 years of experience in outpatient behavioral health care, with expertise in mental health and substance abuse treatment plans. Experience with managed care, case management, utilization management, or quality improvement.

Licenses/Certifications
  • LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN licensure as required.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $68,700 - $123,700 annually. Benefits include competitive pay, health insurance, 401K, stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements.
