Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Charge Nurse to oversee nursing staff and patient care on night shifts. The role reports to the Department Director and supports daily unit operations within Prime Healthcare.

The role requires a valid RN license and BLS; supervisory experience and LPS familiarity are preferred. A BSN is preferred, with strong collaboration across departments to maintain safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws, Practice Standards, interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavior health programming and daily nursing functions.

Responsabilités

• Responsible and accountable to the Department Director for nursing staff quality and patient care during shift.
• Assist Director with daily operation of unit(s)/department and communicate with Director/House Supervisor on events.
• Utilize nursing personnel effectively, assist with scheduling, staffing and assignments.
• Provide direction, supervision and evaluation of staff and/or education as necessary.
• Assess supplies and equipment availability and ensure proper use and maintenance of par levels.
• Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth coordination of services and patient flow.
• Direct staff to adjust plan of care to ensure patient safety and regulatory adherence.
