Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to oversee a nursing unit in Alabama. This full-time daytime role supervises staff, coordinates patient care, and ensures compliance with healthcare policies while delivering high-quality care.

The RN supports infection control, safety, and quality initiatives and collaborates with physicians and teams to optimize patient flow and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Active RN licensure required and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and support staff, delegating tasks as needed.
• Evaluates staff performance and provides coaching.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Coordinates with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families and units.
• Monitors infection control, safety standards, and compliance with policies.
