Job summary

SEARHC in Sitka, Alaska, seeks a Behavioral Health Case Manager to support adults, children, and families with mental health or substance use challenges. You will manage caseloads, link clients to services, and advocate for coordinated care to promote stabilization and recovery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field, with favourable consideration for pursuing a master’s degree or BH Aide II certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, education, mental health, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience may be accepted.
• CDC-I or BHA-II certification required within 3 years of PQAP application.

Responsibilities

• Manages and monitors assigned client caseload to support independence and stability.
• Links clients to health and social services, including housing, education, and financial aid.
• Provides supportive listening to motivate self-directed change.
• Documents services per organizational standards and prepares authorizations.
• Responds to urgent client needs and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Outreach and advocacy in the community to meet client needs.
