Job summary

Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx seeks a dedicated Nurse Aide to support patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene within the Behavioral Health service areas. Under supervision, you will help maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment.

You will assist with vital signs, basic care, bathing, feeding, mobility, and documentation in the electronic medical record, contributing to coordinated patient care and adherence to NYC Health + Hospitals

Qualifications

High school diploma or educational equivalent.
Completion of NYC Health + Hospitals restraints/seclusion training before performing such work.
Vital signs and grooming training within 90 days of appointment.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

Observe and report patients' physical, mental state and provide basic nursing care.
Assist in gathering intake information and orientation for new patients.
Support daily living activities and contribute to a therapeutic ward environment.
Assist with hygiene tasks including bathing, turning, skin care and mobility.
Escort patients as required within and outside the health care setting.
Take vital signs and enter data into the EMR.
