Job summary

New Mexico Department of Justice seeks a Deputy Hospital Administrator for the NM Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI). The role oversees operations, budgets, and compliance across campus, working directly with the Executive Director to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

The incumbent will supervise multiple departments, manage capital projects, and ensure adherence to licensing and accrediting standards while coordinating with facilities management and Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• This includes an Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility.
• Nine (9) years total education and/or experience may substitute for the required education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of operations and budgets for the facility.
• Direct supervision of assigned staff and indirect supervision of all staff at the NM Behavioral Health Institute.
• Oversee capital projects, dietary, housekeeping, medical records, maintenance, staff development, security, and human resources.
• Coordinate communication with the Executive Director, board meetings, and reporting requirements.
