Ensures all administrative, human resources, training, accounting, and purchasing functions are handled in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner for assigned region and is in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assists the Regional Director in the analysis of the unit’s financial performance reports. Works closely with the Regional Director on the financial feasibility of development projects. Coordinates closely with department heads to establish and monitor systems that provide service user or employee information. Leads and directs the works of others.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Staff Training and Development- Reviews educational reports to assure staff have completed required trainings. Provides training and technical support to staff. Ensures personnel training database is maintained and credentialing is completed timely by overseeing staff or completing those duties as needed. Supervises and trains personnel involved in field accounts payable, accounts receivable, training, credentialing, invoicing, and customer service, etc.
  • Manages New Employee Process and Training- Ensures that new employee and on-going training is coordinated with the trainer and the employees. Ensures hiring/discharge procedures are in compliance with established policies and procedures. Demonstrates and instructs employees in the use of the time recording system. Ensures the coordination with company and outside medical facilities for employee drug testing.
  • Manages Payroll and Financial Reports- Assists the Regional Director in the preparation of the budget reviewing the assumptions and doing data entry as required or directed by the Regional Director. Reviews and interprets monthly financial statements and provides such information to the Regional Director or Unit Directors. Assists in preparing financial and statistical reports. Manages all billing and collection functions for Region including Billing at Risk and Billing on Hold.
  • Manages Employee Relations and Communication- Provides leadership to employees by promoting harmony among coworkers and clearly stating company and unit objectives and strategies. Promotes the same to guardians, state and federal agency personnel, consultants and the general public. Maintains a positive and professional image in the work setting and community. Follows policies and procedures to ensure accountability of day-to-day quality management services. Fosters open communication, and helps keep the team focused and progressing toward Company and Unit goals. Voices suggestions for systems improvements, strategic initiatives, and financial analysis to executives, leadership, and management. Serves as a role model for communication, work ethic, and effectiveness in the company and community. Actively encourages employee engagement, promotes office effectiveness, and fosters an environment of high employee morale.
  • Manages Business Operations and Performance- Maintains written job descriptions and performance evaluations for each staff position in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, OHSA and other pertinent laws governing job positions. Monitors the performance and progress of subordinates and conducts at performance evaluations as required in accordance with established policy. Coordinates business office meetings to communicate deficiencies and process improvements. Coordinates administrative supervisor meetings to analyze processes and functions, communicate deficiencies, and develop plans of correction. Contacts and coordinates with outside vendors as needed.
  • Manages System Operations and Performance- Make suggestions for systems using documentation that stands behind the need for such changes. Functions as operational experts and bridges understandings of needs and functions between financial services and local operations. Ensures that systems and processes are effective, efficient and meet the needs of all functions and demands. Continual analyzes systems and processes for improvement and develops plans to make improvements that are approved. Ensures that administrative functions are streamlined, effective, and efficient. Reduces waste and unnecessary functions and processes to ensure efficiency without compromising quality and function. Researches ways to reduce costs without compromising quality or effectiveness.
  • Manages Unit-Level Functions and Services- Manages all administrative functions for region and ensures quality and efficient services are provided. Manages all medical records functions at units assigned to and ensures accuracy and consistency. Manages all data entry for efficiency and quality. Represents the unit at meetings as necessary.
  • Performs Business Manager Responsibilities- Counsels and administers corrective action for department personnel as may become necessary. Coordinates with Financial Services as needed. Serves as a liaison to area LME/MCO as needed.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for two or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance; rewarding, motivating, and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
