RIDGEVIEW in Oak Ridge, TN, is hiring a full-time Healthcare Billing Specialist to join our billing team. The role requires accurate, HIPAA-compliant medical billing in a behavioral health setting and regular weekday hours 8am-4:30pm.

You will handle data entry, claims submission and follow-up, and collaborate with the financial services department to ensure timely accounts receivable and compliance. Two years of billing experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with data entry, claims submission and follow-up skills.
• Two+ years of medical/hospital claims and billing experience required.
• Excellent organization and written/verbal communication; mathematical aptitude; disciplined; able to work under minimal supervision.
• Completes work with urgency and high accuracy; exercises discretion in communicating account information to third parties.

Responsibilities

• Medical billing and related activities in a behavioral healthcare environment.
• Interact with clients and third-party payors to ensure accurate, compliant, thorough, and timely billing.
• Perform collections efforts to manage accounts receivable per targets.
