Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate for the PRN BH Float Pool in Akron, OH. The role supports the multidisciplinary team, monitors patient behaviors under an RN, and provides continuous care and documentation. It requires readiness for crisis situations and potential non-clinical duties.

Formal education includes basic literacy and math, with direct patient experience preferred. Certifications in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and BLS-C are required within specified periods.

Qualifications

• Direct patient experience in behavioral health or medical environment preferred.
• Must attain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within one year of employment.
• Attain BLS-C certification during initial periods and maintain certification thereafter.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with patients and care providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report patient behaviors under supervision of an RN.
• Provide continuous patient care and documentation of observations and activity.
• Support patient care team with non-clinical duties when needed.
