Residential Support Specialist - Behavioral Health

Location: Fairbanks, AK
Pay: Starting at $25.98/hour DOE
Schedule:Full-Time and Part-Time Openings Available

Current Schedule Options:

• Full-Time Overnight: 10:00 PM-8:00 AM | Rotational schedule | Weekend shifts required
• Part-Time:Morning shift 7:45 AM-4:00 PM or swing shift 3:45 PM-10:00 PM | Approximately 25 hours/week | Rotational schedule with flexibility and weekend availability required

TDL Staffing is seeking dependable and compassionate Residential Support Specialists to support individuals in a structured residential setting. This role is ideal for someone who can provide a steady, responsible presence while helping maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents with behavioral health needs.

Depending on the shift, responsibilities may include monitoring resident well-being, documenting observations, responding appropriately to concerns or changing needs, supporting daily living skills, and assisting with routine residential activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, comfortable working independently, and able to remain calm and use good judgment when unexpected situations arise.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, problem-solve, and use good judgment in challenging situations
• Ability to work independently and relate professionally to individuals experiencing serious mental illness
• Familiarity with Alaska Native cultures and rural lifestyles
• Must meet required immunization and health clearance requirements prior to starting
• Background screening is a part of the hiring process
• Must support a drug free work environment

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of training or education in counseling, behavioral health, or social services
