Job summary

Summit BHC's Iron Bridge Recovery Center in Chester, VA, is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I (PRN). You will support the treatment team by monitoring client behavior, assisting with data collection, supervising activities, and responding to crises as needed.

This onsite role requires a high school diploma, CPR and de-escalation training, and preference for experience with the population served.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of clients and provides a safe, positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Maintains a constant awareness and supervision of clients.
• Conducts safety checks and follows individualized supervision guidelines.
• Checks clients for contraband and manages belongings.
• Interacts with clients, observes behaviors and communicates observations to supervisor.
• Engages clients in activities and supports participation in therapy groups.
