Job summary

Columbus Springs East, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Assessment Specialist, RN, Behavioral Health for a full-time day shift. You will coordinate assessments, triage referrals, and work with the clinical team to address medical and behavioral needs of patients seeking treatment for substance use or psychiatric concerns.

The role requires an active OH license (clinical, social work, or RN), plus CPR certification and strong assessment skills, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Current clinical, social work, or RN license in OH.
• Associate's degree in nursing or master's in social work/counseling.
• Experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility with adults/geriatric patients preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives inquiry calls and schedules face-to-face assessments to triage referrals.
• Assesses or ensures assessment by a qualified mental health professional; screens emergencies.
• Performs comprehensive assessment and coordinates with clinical team to meet patient needs.
• Interprets treatment to patient and family to reduce fear and barriers to care.
