Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) to provide outpatient and emergency psychiatric care in Massachusetts. The role involves evaluating and treating children and adults, conducting crisis assessments, collaborating with families and care teams, and consulting with BHN programs.

This is a Monday–Friday schedule, 9 am to 5 pm, with potential for a 4-day week at 10 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychiatric-mental health nursing required.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted Massachusetts NP license.
• ANCC APRN-BC certification as applicable (adult, family, or pediatric psych).
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and active DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with current standards of care.
• Conduct crisis assessments and manage risk to ensure safety.
• Engage families, residential providers, and collateral contacts in care planning.
• Provide consultation to BHN programs and clinical staff as needed.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and bill for services in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Supervising Psychiatrist and escalate urgent matters.
• Deliver high-quality care to diverse populations while emphasizing teamwork and ongoing learning.
