Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient Psychiatry team in Western Massachusetts. You will provide clinical and administrative support to psychiatrists and APRNs, measure vital signs, coordinate prescriptions, and manage lab work using CareLogic and DrFirst.

The role requires the ability to work on-site, excellent customer service, and comfort with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate required.
• Experience with psychiatric/behavioral-health population preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site clinical and administrative support to psychiatrists and APRNs.
• Measure and document vital signs and communicate with prescribers.
• Coordinate prescription workflows and prior authorizations.
• Manage lab orders, results, and monitoring for medications.
• Maintain documentation in the electronic health record and related systems.
• Support onboarding of new prescribers and assist with clinical software workflows.
