Job summary

Educational Data Systems, Inc. (EDSI) is seeking a Behavioral Health Advocate in Michigan to assess and intervene for participants with behavioral health concerns.

The role includes brief therapeutic interventions and coordinating external referrals as needed. The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with 2-3 years of clinical experience and be able to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Education, or related field.
• 2-3 years of clinical experience.
• Ability to maintain ethical standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assess and build therapeutic relationships with participants to assist with client-centered interventions aimed at reducing barriers
• Provide holistic individualized supportive services to assist in client’s professional and personal developmental needs and opportunities
• Provide individual coaching, psychoeducation, and facilitating groups when applicable
• Identify beneficial community resources for participants and coordinate external referrals when appropriate
• Uphold confidentiality standards with all client interactions, in accordance with your advanced degree and/or licensing board
• Maintain organized, confidential, and well-documented participant case notes in accordance with program standards, and with ethical consideration for your licensure board
